How to use medical polymer bandages?
- Jan 19, 2019 -

Fixation is an important measure after treatment of fractures and dislocations. In order to meet the needs of today's orthopedic clinics, experts at home and abroad have also conducted long-term and extensive research and development on fixed products in the context of faster and faster technology development. Therefore, a series of new fixtures appeared, which directly broke the traditional way of fixing the plaster, and the polymer bandage and polymer splint were the most.

The medical polymer bandage is a combination of polymer materials and international advanced production technology. Its appearance provides doctors with great convenience and provides patients with comfort and safety.

Medical polymer bandages have many advantages. Compared with our common gypsum, this product is obviously more advantageous because the traditional gypsum will have a tight and itchy skin after drying, but the bandage will not.

Not only that, but the bandage also uses high-quality raw yarn in the selection of raw materials, which has good gas permeability, and relieves discomfort such as hot flashes and itching caused by long-term partial tube-wrapping and poor air permeability.

So how do you use polymer bandages?

First of all, we have to choose the appropriate size, use a cotton lap or cotton sleeve as the liner at the fixed part, put on the latex gloves, open the package, remove the bandage, then put the bandage in normal temperature water for 2-3 seconds and squeeze 2-3 Eat, remove and remove excess water from the bandage.

Then spirally wrap as needed to ensure moderate tightness. If it is a non-supporting part, wrap 3-4 layers, support 4-5 layers, and then shape according to requirements, because the solidification time is generally 3-5 minutes. The shaping needs to be completed within this time, and it can be fully loaded after 20 minutes.

When dismantling, it only needs to be removed with a common plaster saw, which is very convenient and quick.
